I am currently in trades for both Silver and Silvercorp (SVM). The former is proving quite promising while the latter is disappointing to say the least. Considering that the metals and the gold stock index (the HUI) are now firmly moving north it is frustrating than my SVM trade is showing only a miniscule spread betting profit. (more…)

On the 18th March we had the Federal Reserve start its campaign of buying of US treasury bonds in an attempt to put a cap on bond prices. Some call it quantitative easing, others call money printing while others refer to it as the ‘nuclear option’. So finally Ben Bernanke has got his wish of  dropping dollar bills from helicopters.  (more…)
